It does not snow in Torrington very often, but with Storm Emma we have had a dusting. The strong winds make it look very blustery.

Dramatic Thunderstorm Over South West England

The spectacular thunderstorm that traveled over the South West of England during the early hours of 27th May 2017 went on for hours, with near constant strobing of high cloud to cloud lightning. 

Here I capture some of the sheet lightning and the sound of thunder and rain.

Excelvan Q8 V Panasonic Lumix FZ45 Sound and Video Test

A comparison of the Panasonic Lumix FZ45 bridge camera and the Excelvan Q8 4K UHD action camera.  The biggest difference is that the sound on the Excelvan Q8 is very poor.  The footage here is taken with the camera out of its waterproof case, when in its waterproof case the sound is practically inaudible.  Video is comparable, but I think the FZ45 wins.

Action Cam Hints & Tips: Taking a Series of Stills with the Excelvan Q8 4K Ultra HD Action Camera. 
Taking a series of still photographs can be a useful method for creating timelapse movies.  It has a number of advantages over using the timelapse feature directly.  Firstly you can take advantage of the Q8's full 16MP resolution.  Secondly you can create standard and widescreen movies.  Thirdly, you can examine each frame individually, which makes editing your movies easier.

Cumulus clouds on a warm day billow across the sky and eventually disperse.  Blackbirds, crows, pigeons and the sounds of nature fill the air.  What a wonderful way to relax... All recorded from my English Country Garden :-) Filmed with the Excelvan Q8 4K Ultra HD action camera (video) and a Lumix FZ45 bridge camera (sound) and rendered with CyberLink Power Director 11.
